After surgery, I also got a call from the doctor! They also gave me a baby toothbrush, lip balm, and a tongue cleaner, so I used them well. My sensation came back faster than I expected, and I think about 80-90% has returned now. For about the first week after surgery, it was hard, but by week 2, I feel about 80-90% recovered.
