Clinic-shopping notes after finishing nose surgery

I had double eyelid surgery in my neighborhood and was pretty satisfied, so I started wanting to get my nose done too. So I thought about getting my nose done at the same place where I had my eyes done, but someone I know got their eyes done there and their result turned out badly.. lol.. I thought I should get my nose done somewhere around Gangnam, so I went clinic shopping. For reference, I'm now a little over two months post-op from my nose surgery.

1. Question: since I had epicanthoplasty, would my eyes look close together if my nasal bridge gets higher? -Hospitals a, b, and c all answered no. They said of course that can happen in some cases, but I didn't have an excessive epicanthoplasty, and the nose style I wanted wasn't a very dramatic one, so they said they would raise the nasal bridge moderately. I was recommended various silicone heights from 2.5 to 5 mm, and they also said it would be possible without an implant. -What I felt: Honestly, before nose surgery I worried, is that really true? But after actually doing it, I understood what they meant ㅇㅇ In my case, I raised the nasal tip a lot more than the nasal bridge, so my eyes don't look close together.

2. Wouldn't my overall impression change if I get my nose done? -Hospitals a and b said the nose design itself just needs to be made to suit me, and hospital c said that because the nose shape changes, my image would definitely look different from before. But they said making that look harmonious is the doctor's role, and that my impression wouldn't change in a worse direction; they would design it so I could look more refined and feminine. -What I felt: Everyone may feel differently, but I actually liked hospital c the most because they answered honestly.

3. Hump nose.. do I absolutely have to have osteotomy? -Hospitals a, b, and c all said there is no such thing as “absolutely” in cosmetic surgery. They said just as everyone's appearance is slightly different, whether to use osteotomy has to be decided after taking a CT and having a consultation. Among the places I visited, a said I needed osteotomy, while b and c said I only needed to raise the nasal tip. I did show photos of the nose I wanted, but they honestly told me that to raise the nasal bridge that much, the inner corners of my eyes could look close together, and that a style that is too dramatic would not suit my facial features. Especially at hospital c, they said that more than the hump, my nasal bridge axis was deviated, so the most important thing was to perform surgery so the line from the nasal dorsum to the nasal tip could look smoothly connected. If designing the nose as a straight line, it would also be possible without an implant. I worried that a straight line might make my impression look too strong.. but they said they wouldn't make it like a man's straight nose. -What I felt: I heard it can improve if the nasal tip is raised more than the nasal bridge. Since I strongly wanted to avoid osteotomy as much as possible, in one way I felt relieved.

4. Things that were personally hard while getting nose surgery -Fasting before surgery I'm used to waking up early in the morning, so even though my surgery time was in the afternoon, I woke up early.. and I was hungry from keeping the fast haha.. I think this depends on the person ^^ -The splint is more uncomfortable than you'd think, quite a lot I think I understand why people say you taste heaven once only the splint is removed.. I also felt in a strangely new way then that being able to breathe through your nose is this happy ^^ They say some people still had trouble breathing through their nose even after the splint was removed because it hadn't been long since nose surgery, but I didn't feel that. -Deciding the design clearly on the day of surgery As someone with a severe avoidant personality, I couldn't even clearly establish my nose design until the day of surgery.. I just thought, I'll go to the hospital and discuss it with the director haha, but as the time to coordinate opinions became longer than I expected (I was sorry I couldn't state my opinion clearly at the beginning), I thought next time I absolutely have to decide before going.. -Taking walks .. This might be hard to understand.. The director said walking really helps a lot with reducing swelling, so I tried to do it diligently, but as a homebody who finds going out bothersome.. going out every day was so, so hard. Unless my mom forced me to go out, I didn't go.. Still, to reduce my nose swelling, I went out once every two days -Pumpkin juice? De-swelling tea? No effect.. I tried them. They just taste bad, and it's better to go for one more walk with that time.

5. Closing It got too long as I wrote;; In conclusion, I had surgery to raise the nasal tip without an implant. Dermis, ear cartilage, and donated costal cartilage were used. There was absolutely no pressure about choosing nose materials, and I went through with surgery at the place that reflected my needs as much as possible. Since it's only been a little over two months, posting a review feels a bit much.. and I'm a little embarrassed to take photos, so I'm just scribbling a post..
