Before<photo taken when I went for my follow-up this time>I’m bored, and since I’m lying down with nothing to do, I opened my phone to scribble something! It hasn’t been long since surgery yet lol, but if there’s anyone with surgery coming up, I’m writing this to encourage you and tell you not to be too scared (it’s really no big deal!!! It hurts less than you think)
I went to three places in person, but I’m the type who did a lot more online research than in-person visits. I went around various sites by myself (I looked a lot at Naver and Daum cafes too. And apps!) and whenever someone posted a consultation review or surgery review, I always left comments asking for info and asked about costs. After narrowing it down like that and going to consultations at three places, I think I was able to decide much faster! People say one in-person consultation is better than ten rounds of online research, and that’s true too, but I think doing online research and narrowing the in-person consultation list down to only the solid options is also a good method.
I got the surgery at Glam, and the reason I chose it was because it felt the most sincere?? Honestly, I thought I’d be communicating most with the consultant, and the consultants at other hospitals were also kind and treated me well, but their sincerity didn’t come across to me 100 percent. But here, from consultation to surgery and afterward, they kept trying to communicate, and I really felt that they were constantly researching and studying the surgery a lot, should I say? So I decided to have surgery!! I felt like I could trust this place and visit.
After setting the surgery date, I was extremely nervous until the day before, but on the actual day lol I went in with my mind totally blank, and as soon as I lay down on the operating table, wow~~~~~...... I got insanely nervous;; lololol I seriously felt like I was going crazy, and my hands were trembling so much... The anesthesiologist held my hand and said it was okay and that it would end well, so I nodded, and as soon as I heard them say the anesthesia was going in, my memory got wiped. When I woke up, I was in the recovery room. I had bandages on, and at first I was hazy from the anesthesia and my stomach felt weird, then suddenly I got so thirsty Later the consultant brought me an ion drink, and after drinking that I felt a bit okay okay.. I came to my senses, and I wondered, does it hurt? But it didn’t hurt much. I felt like I could get up and go home right away. Still, they told me to stay a little longer, so I sat in the recovery room using my phone, then was discharged the same day. I took a taxi home. There was no breast surgery pain. The biggest thing was just the discomfort from the bandage compression
Maybe because I had an inframammary incision, the next day my arms were stiff and all, but not to the point that I couldn’t use them. It was just uncomfortable but movable, so I brushed my teeth and washed my face by myself.. I did everything except wash my hair.
On day 3, I removed the bandage myself, and on day 7 I went for a follow-up check and asked various things, like whether I could take the capsular contracture medication together with allergy medication, when the feel would soften (it’s still so tight lol), and so on!! I was told I need to apply stretch mark cream well whenever I can, so I had been using a small cream, but this time I bought a large size hehe. I’m going to slather it on.. Apparently, even if you don’t get stretch marks at the beginning and let your guard down and don’t manage it, stretch marks can suddenly appear, so you have to keep taking care of it until the end. Also, after surgery, it feels like the skin gets dry without you realizing it, so I think it’s better to manage it even more carefully...!!
Anyway, surgery really ends quickly and recovery happens quickly too, so everyone with surgery coming up, don’t be too scared, and make sure to eat meals focused on protein until the day of surgery! Once you have surgery, you can’t drink or smoke for a month hehe, so prepare yourself mentally in advance and I hope you go and come back well hehe. You’ll be able to get pretty breasts.
I hope we can safely complete recovery!! Everyone and me too, let’s all hang in there~~~
