No matter how I look at it, they didn’t do the epicanthoplasty, right?><Ha... it seems like there’s no columella, and I don’t know if the nose line was done properly..> I never even had a consultation for double eyelid surgery. They did double eyelid surgery, and skipped the canthoplasty I was actually going to have.
For the rhinoplasty, they left out the columella. What were they thinking?????

Nose revision (lowering the silicone implant, using material because of a deviated septum at the nasal tip We were supposed to use ear cartilage for the columella) Eyes: revision epicanthoplasty only (was supposed to do four-way canthoplasty)
At the first consultation, they advised against canthoplasty -> I said I didn’t have big ambitions, so just do it slightly.
Had one more consultation the day before (because of a cold and septum issues)
The next day, surgery day (4/13), I arrived at 10:40, saw the head director’s face, had a 2-3 minute consultation, and he left (no design)
I went downstairs and waited (while the delay was so, so, so long, I saw the manager change into regular clothes and leave) After waiting much longer, I asked a passing medical staff member when the design would be done. They answered that it would be done after going in. (I thought about and wrote down additional points to explain once inside / of course I expected they would design carefully before going in, based on my past surgical experiences)
After 12, as soon as I entered the operating room, the nurse told me to lie down first, so I lay down. The director came in and asked if my eyes were inline, so I thought, oh, maybe that matters for the epicanthoplasty? and said they’re currently in-out line (I had never once talked about double eyelid surgery xxxx no thought of double eyelid surgery xxx). Then he asked, oh, in-out? and while I was lying down he designed above my eyes (it felt way too simple;;) The nurse touching the IV looked like a gesture to put me to sleep? Something felt off, so I stopped them.
Am I going to sleep now? Aren’t you going to design the nose? (I hadn’t even looked in the mirror after he scribbled on my eyes) They said they would design the nose after anesthesia started (?????) What??? What?? No, you’re doing it right away like this?
No matter how I thought about it, this didn’t seem right, but I already felt the drugs going in;
Ah, I should have gotten up even then..
I begged, please make it pretty, thinking this was my last surgery, and fell asleep.
Before surgery I asked them to wake me in the middle (nose line, eye line) For the nose, I only remember the nurse waking me, the nurse’s face, and my face in the mirror / for the eyes, I barely remember anything (I thought maybe because it was canthoplasty, it was hard to see)
I woke up half-asleep and went to the recovery room, then I think I fell asleep. At 3:05 PM, I messaged my mom saying it was over.
I wondered if they were doing cold compresses this long because of canthoplasty swelling.. they did cold compresses. I got up and looked in the mirror. My eyelids felt heavy.. I looked closely, and there was no epicanthoplasty scar..(?)
I asked the medical staff there several times whether I had canthoplasty done. When I asked back whether there could be no scar, they said everything was done(?)
The director/manager were nowhere to be found, and nobody treated me or explained aftercare. Someone else did it.
First of all, I really, really, really wanted to go home. I got scared thinking it would hurt once the anesthesia wore off, so I thought I should take medicine, eat, and rest. I picked up the medicine and got in a taxi at 3:53.
After arriving home, no matter how I looked, there was no scar, so it was weird.... The hospital had closed, so I contacted the manager around 5:30. The manager absolutely, absolutely did not read nearly 10 KakaoTalk messages, texts, or calls.. lololololololololololololololololol
But the more I looked, the more certain I became that they didn’t do the epicanthoplasty. As for lower canthoplasty, I can’t tell if they did it or not. There’s no difference. No matter how much swelling there is, there’s no difference.
But.... I saw bruising above my eyes and freaked out, and when I looked, double eyelid surgery had been done. While anxiously calling my friends, I started getting anxious about my nose too.
Nasal columella (I emphasized the columella, emphasized it again and again) There is absolutely no foreign-body sensation, pain, or swelling in the columella. Because the splint and cotton made it hard to see, I gently pressed my philtrum with a cotton swab. It just feels like my own... All I can think is that I’m seriously screwed.. The hospital is unreachable, and I’m honestly so damn furious and angry, and it feels so unfair about the surgery, time, money, everything that I may have to redo.. ㅇㅇㅂㅅㅎㅇㄱ ㅇㄷㅎ There’s no operating room CCTV, how could someone called the head director do things so carelessly, I’m even so scared to remove the splint, and thinking about what I have to say at the hospital and the time it will take is driving me crazy.. ha
It’s not even a big large-scale hospital. It’s not a hospital that advertises like crazy either. I trusted it because they said it’s a place people go to by word of mouth.
As for injection marks, I was supposed to get Rejuran and filler. Rejuran - they didn’t even inject the forehead. The spacing between needle marks is a complete mess. Lip filler - one side is severely bruised and the inside of my mouth is scraped (please tell me why..) They said they started and stopped because I moved too much (but I was under sedation??)
People who know well, please comment Does the after of posterior/lower canthoplasty normally look like that..?
