Eye Surgery Reviews

Fully adjusted!

At first, after having lower blepharoplasty and a brow lift, there was some swelling, and because I looked in the mirror every day, I honestly could not tell how much had changed from my perspective. My mom had undergone the same surgery before, so perhaps because of that, she kept telling me that the swelling needed to go down a little more when she looked at my face. But after some time passed, my mom was the first to say that the area under my eyes looked less bulging than before. Since I see my face every day, I thought maybe that was why I had not noticed, but when I compared it with old photos, the part under my eyes that had looked droopy definitely seemed less bothersome than before. Recently, I met a friend. It was not that they immediately asked whether I had had surgery haha. Instead, they suddenly said to me, “You look a bit better these days.” When I said I had eye surgery, they looked closely and said my eyes seemed more defined than before. I actually preferred this reaction. Rather than looking dramatically different enough for someone to ask immediately what I had done, the change I wanted was simply to look less tired overall and have a slightly more polished impression. For now, I feel the change under my eyes more strongly than the change above them. Before, even when I was sitting still, the area under my eyes looked bulging and droopy, so it was the first thing I noticed whenever I took photos. Now, it does not stand out first as much as it used to. I think I need to keep watching the brow-lift side a little longer. Immediately after surgery, the swelling made me keep looking in the mirror for no reason and wonder whether everything was settling properly. But when family members and one or two friends began reacting first, I finally felt that I was gradually changing too. It has settled naturally without looking too obvious, so I am satisfied haha.
