Nose Surgery Reviews

Two-week review of functional rhinoplasty

I had always been deliberating because of my upturned and bulbous nose. Rather than an excessively high nose, I wanted less-visible nostrils and a smooth, natural line. I had researched rhinoplasty extensively since I was young. While looking into clinics, I learned about Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at [Clinic A]. From the reviews and videos, I could feel that she consulted with more sincerity than anyone and paid close attention to patient care after surgery. Since it was my first rhinoplasty and a procedure with considerable risk, I was extremely worried, but Dr. Kim presented an accurate solution based on analyses of photos and videos. She recommended lengthening the columella with autologous costal cartilage and correcting the nasolabial angle. She also discovered severe nasal deviation that I had not known about, so we decided to correct that at the same time. Considering my facial proportions and image, she recommended approximately 2 mm of silicone. Her approach of recommending only what was truly necessary without going too far gave me great confidence. The first three days after surgery were difficult, but once the acute phase passed after about a week, the bruising and swelling subsided much faster than expected. Because I was anxious as it was my first surgery, I often contacted the coordinator and the clinic, but they always replied kindly and quickly, which really reassured me. Although it was difficult to coordinate the schedule during the holiday period, they arranged the appointment to fit my timing, and I was touched that the director kept checking my condition so I would not feel anxious. People around me often say that it looks very natural and turned out extremely well. I sincerely thank the director who operated exactly according to my needs and everyone at the clinic who helped me recover quickly. I think I will be able to keep visiting with confidence!
