Writing this for the public good~~ I don’t like visiting a lot of hospitals for consultations, so I only went to 2 places and had surgery right away!
I only had a forehead lift!
1. ㄷㅍㄹ Single-doctor clinic. The hospital building is big (3 floors? 4 floors?) The other floors are where procedures are done I went, and there were only middle-aged people.. I was the only young person. Drain tube used. One facelift surgery per day, one or two forehead lift surgeries. It has been open for 8 years, and the doctor has 14 years of total experience. Operating room CCTV available. There is a separate anesthesiology director. Surgery time is 30-40 minutes. Sedation anesthesia, 5-point incision at 1 cm. I’ve never had ptosis surgery, but they said my ptosis surgery was done well..(?) When I said I hadn’t, they said double eyelid surgery = ptosis surgery. (Is that how it is?) Thread fixation, and they said recovery takes about ten days. They also emphasized that it is a very easy and simple surgery. They said the forehead gets longer, but the midface does not get longer.... They said they do not do overcorrection.
+ The consultant does push reservations a bit. They tried to persuade me by saying it would be cheaper if I paid cash and booked the same day. They said there were no other discounts. The price was too expensive, so I passed.
2. ㅌㅇㄹ Single-doctor clinic. Surgery CCTV exists, but it is not recorded, so guardians can watch if they come. No drain tube. Sedation anesthesia. Thread fixation. There is a 10,000 won deposit. When you go, they take face photos and consult with the photos displayed on the computer (embarrassing..//) The doctor touched various parts of my face, measured with a ruler, and looked at my overall facial proportions. My eyes are asymmetric and I have some ptosis.. The doctor caught it right away as soon as they saw me. They told me in numbers how many mm my forehead would lengthen and how many mm my midface would lengthen. They said that since my midface is short, a forehead lift would actually improve my proportions.
Oh! It seems they vary the number of incision sites a little depending on the person. I had 4-point incisions. They also check the direction of your hair part.
They said they would overcorrect at first, and that after surgery the middle of my eyebrows would rise slightly. They said there may be hair loss at the incision sites. They also said I might sleep with my eyes slightly open for a while.
