While researching revision surgery, I found out that among epicanthoplasty side effects, there’s something called interruption of the under-eye aegyo-sal, and I realized for the first time that it applied to me. I heard it could be removed with restoration, so I went for a consultation!
The consultation was kind and thorough, and there was no recommendation for additional surgery.
For now, I was told that . Improvement of interrupted aegyo-sal is possible . Improvement of the depressed scar at the inner corner of the eye is possible (The director said it was an epicanthal fold, while the consultant said it looked like an existing epicanthoplasty scar, so I’m a bit unsure about this part.)
I originally had epicanthal folds in both eyes, but had epicanthoplasty on only one side (because the distance between my eyes was different). They said that if I do restoration, it may be restored with an epicanthal fold, or it may be restored without one, (if it’s restored into a shape without an epicanthal fold, then only the side that didn’t have epicanthoplasty would have an epicanthal fold) so I thought about it and ended up just getting the consultation and leaving!
Is there anyone here who restored only one side like me??
