Reason for surgery - My face shape is more U-shaped than it looks, and the bones on the left and right were way too asymmetrical, so I decided to get 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw and chin). For the nose, I was only slightly raising the nasal tip, so I'll skip over that, and for my eyes, since my left and right eyes were uneven, I decided to adjust the left eye to match the right eye. My right eye is really pretty lol I got facial liposuction because I thought it would help if I did it together with the contouring!
Surgical direction - I'll skip the lipo, eyes, and revision nose surgery. Since it was a surgery that changes the face shape, I was careful. I didn't want to look like I had a dog-like jaw, pointy chin, or like a host bar guy, so I kept the mandibular angle under the ear visible, and shaved quite a lot from the front part of the chin. That's because my complex was my U-shaped face, and to resolve that, they said the front part of the chin had to be shaved down a lot. I set the direction as keeping the mandibular angle so it still felt masculine, with the front view falling sharply, but with a trapezoid-shaped chin rather than a V-line chin. They said I needed a little chin advancement too, so I included advancement as well. And at the same time, I asked them to correct the asymmetry too.
Day of surgery - My surgery was at 2 p.m., but I arrived way too early, smoked two cigarettes, and went in. The face drawing started. They said they'd start with the eyes, so I got hit with the anesthesia high, went to paradise, and the eye surgery was done in 5 minutes. Then they said they'd do the contouring, and the anesthesiologist said, “The anesthetic is going in, you'll be asleep now~ Take a deep breath.” I clearly remember asking, “How many hours will this surgery take?” at that moment, you know? I definitely communicated properly, but the anesthesiologist just went “Yes~ yes~,” so I wondered if they were ignoring what I said, and exactly 2 seconds later, the place had suddenly changed from the operating room to the recovery roomㄷㄷ The day of surgery was hell itself. I was dizzy, I couldn't breathe through my nose because I had my nose done too, I couldn't open my mouth so I couldn't breathe properly through my mouth either, phlegm was building up, the pain was intense, my body was stiff, and because of the urinary catheter, even peeing hurt so much I thought I was going to die… After trying to get sleep that didn't feel like sleep while sitting up, morning came before I knew it. I had rounds, got the blood drain removed (the feeling when they pull it out is seriously disgusting), went to the treatment room, had the cotton removed from inside my nose, got the ear bandage taken off, and was discharged.
Days 1~3 - My face was insanely swollen and heavy, so I was extremely sensitive. I couldn't open my mouth, so I couldn't eat. At first I tried eating things like soup, steamed egg, bread, and yogurt, but I got sick of them and didn't even touch them. I didn't eat them simply because I was sick of them. They didn't taste good either. I only kept reaching for New Care lol Anyway, during this time there wasn't pain or anything like that, it was just that my face was so swollen, heavy, and uncomfortable. Oh, and until day 2, it hurt like crazy when I peed.
Days 3~6 - Still insanely swollen.. Starting on day 4, pain began in my jaw. The square jaw area hurt like crazy, seriously. And from this point, I started trying things. I tried eating jajangmyeon cut up with scissors and kimchi stew. But I failed spectacularly. Food kept getting stuck so it stressed me out. On top of that, my mouth wouldn't open, so I got confused about what I was even eating. While eating porridge and thinking there was no answer except porridge, the moment blood that hadn't come out during days 1~3 suddenly started coming out inside my mouth, I realized I shouldn't act up and should just suck down New Care until the stitches inside my mouth are removed. So now it's day 6, the point when I'm posting this. The square jaw area is still throbbing, and I saw blood earlier while brushing my teeth, so I'm in a very scared state. I don't have the confidence to eat anything, so I'm planning to drink only New Care again today. Oh, and since day 4, I've been wearing the compression band pretty freely. Right now, I wear it for a long time when there's bleeding, and when there isn't, I wear it at 1-hour intervals. Anyway, this is truly something I brought on myself, so I'm not even depressed, I'm just extremely pissed off, ha
Maybe because I did contouring (square jaw, chin) + liposuction (deep cheek, double chin) at the same time, the swelling probably won't go down easily, right?
