My mom turned exactly 60 this year!! She had been so stressed about her eyes lately that I ended up looking into clinics with her haha. She always told me to look at her under-eyes, and at first I wondered what was bothering her so much. But in photos, the area under her eyes did look particularly tired She also said her upper eyelids seemed to keep drooping, so we looked into a forehead lift and lower blepharoplasty together. What my mom worried about most was, “What if it looks too obvious?” lol She even wondered what she would say if her friends asked where she had it done. After consulting and thinking it over, she decided to have both procedures together. On the day of surgery, I expected Mom to be extremely nervous, but she seemed surprisingly fine. I was actually the one who kept asking questions In the days after surgery, though, she was a little startled by the swelling and bruising around her eyes. Every morning she looked in the mirror and asked when it would go down, and I was worried at first too Still, she rested well at home while following the clinic’s instructions. She stayed home almost the entire first week, and around two weeks later the swelling had decreased a lot compared with before. From then on, Mom started saying she wanted to go out little by little It has now been about a month, and the area around her eyes looks more refined than before. Mom took photos and compared them with old ones, and she likes the result She especially likes the area under her eyes. The swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, so we still need to wait and see, but Mom seems to be in a good mood these days. The other day, when she went to meet her friends, she even took out lipstick she normally hardly wears I teased her, asking why she was dressing up so much, and she said it was simply because she felt happy. Seeing Mom happy makes me happy too She used to say she was old now just because she had turned 60, but she seems to say that less these days.
