I had severe blockage in both nostrils, so I always slept with my mouth open. Breathing through my mouth while sleeping often caused tonsillitis, and I also had a sleep disorder. I went to an otolaryngology clinic for an examination and was told I had severe deviated septum, which was causing the congestion, so I looked for an ENT hospital to correct the functional problems. I was concerned not only about nasal obstruction but also about my bulbous and low nose. Just as I was planning to have only rhinitis surgery, I learned that [Clinic A] also performs cosmetic nose surgery, so after consulting with the doctor, I decided to improve the appearance at the same time. The doctor provided a very thorough consultation and recommended materials well, saying that autologous costal cartilage would be suitable because my septum was small. I was worried about how much my appearance would change, but they shaped it to suit my face. Whenever I meet acquaintances, they say my features look much more defined than before surgery, so I am satisfied. Since the inside of my nose was very narrow and deviated, daily life and sleeping had been uncomfortable, but after surgery at [Clinic A], exercising and sleeping became much easier. I feel it was a very worthwhile surgery overall.
