Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Cheekbone reduction alone at Cookie softened my features (3 months)

The cheekbones were my biggest facial concern because they looked even more prominent when I smiled or took photos. I had read so many reviews saying that mishandling the cheekbones could cause nonunion or cheek sagging, so I researched clinics that prioritized safety. Then I found someone in an open chat who had cheekbone revision surgery with Dr. Jeong Seong-mo at Cookie. I also saw the CT images, and the fixation looked extremely secure... At my consultation, the doctor first assessed my bone structure. He honestly explained that pushing everything inward as much as possible is not always best, and that considering my upper-cheek volume and the hollowing under my eyes, the cheekbones should be moved within a realistic limit to reduce later sagging and shadows. Hearing a realistic explanation without excessive recommendations made sense to me. Honestly, I cannot say the surgery was painless, and I was quite out of it on the day, but the pain was bearable by my standards lol. Also, at one point I felt slight stiffness and pulling in front of my ear and beside my cheek when opening my mouth, so I asked about it at my one-month follow-up. The doctor showed me directly on the CT that the three-pin fixation was firmly secured and explained that it was temporary muscle tension caused by healing at the osteotomy site. I no longer have those symptoms, and opening my mouth is comfortable now. I am eating regular food well while being careful with hard or chewy foods. The biggest noticeable change is that the uneven, angular side line seen from the front has been smoothed out, and I can feel that the horizontal width of my face has decreased. I used to always wear my hair down because my lateral cheekbones stood out even when I tied it up, but these days I am satisfied that my features do not look harsh even when I tie it up.
