I visited several clinics, and elsewhere I was told that I absolutely should not have ptosis correction because my eyelid-opening strength was already sufficient. Here, however, they said I should have it done, even if only mildly, which made me question the recommendation. The director’s consultation did not feel particularly friendly or detailed, and they spoke as if medial canthoplasty and upper canthoplasty—procedures other clinics had said were not essential—were also necessary. It felt like they were recommending this and that, so I excluded this clinic from consideration for surgery.
