I had functional rhinoplasty and cosmetic rhinoplasty with Director Hyun at Covijou, and when I counted, today is exactly day 41! First, I’m satisfied because I think the nose shape and line came out the way I wanted. When I went for my one-month follow-up, they said most of the major swelling had gone down, and that the minor swelling would continue to go down steadily for six months to a year, so I’m still being careful and not touching my nose much. Until week 2, I felt like breathing was a bit stuffy, but after passing week 3, breathing became much more comfortable. Still, in the morning I felt a little uncomfortable, maybe because of swelling, and after passing the one-month mark, when I wake up and in everyday life, I don’t have a runny nose, and my breathing is much better than before surgery. I guess the recovery period for rhinitis surgery really varies from person to person, so those planning functional surgery should keep that in mind! When I read reviews, some people said their nose opened up completely after just 2 weeks, but for me it seems to have taken a little under a month haha I’m satisfied both functionally and cosmetically, and I just want it to stay like this haha
