I said I was so nervous because surgery was coming up soon, and I finally got non-incisional ptosis correction (revision surgery) + dual canthoplasty. I’m such a scaredy-cat and sensitive to pain, so I paid with the sleep anesthesia fee included, fasted, and went to the hospital.
I had a consultation with the director without any waiting time and went straight to the operating room. I didn’t even put on sunscreen and had no makeup on at all, so I went straight onto the operating table without the hassle of washing my face.
After being under sleep anesthesia briefly and waking up, they had already finished local anesthesia on my eyes, so I waited a little for the anesthesia to take effect, then the director came in and proceeded with the surgery.
The surgery ended faster than I expected, and because it hurt in the middle, they gave me anesthesia one more time.
I saw a lot of posts saying ptosis correction really hurts, and it really does hurt With the dual canthoplasty too, I could vividly feel everything, so I was trembling a bit.
The nurses in the operating room kept holding my hand too.
They only gave me 3 days’ worth of prescription medicine, and there was no separate ointment. I’m the type who swells a lot, so I was really worried, but on the day of surgery, I bought 4 medicines from the pharmacy that were said to help reduce swelling and took them, drank pumpkin juice too, and I couldn’t go on many walks. I visited once on Monday to get the stitches removed, and the swelling went down faster than I expected, and the bruising was almost gone too.
Since it was a revision surgery, I had also been to another hospital 10 years ago, and I think this director works quickly with their hands.
They said my ptosis was moderate or worse, and even though I had LASIK, my eyes didn’t open well, so when I worked my vision would get blurry, and if I looked at the monitor for a little too long, I’d get dizzy and stuff.
But now that my eyes open wider than before, I can see the monitor more clearly, my eye fatigue is less, and it feels fascinating.
These days, I feel happy every time I look in the mirror ^_^
Right now the swelling is going down unevenly, but they told me to come back after 1 month for a follow-up.
I’ll have to pray the canthoplasty doesn’t close back up. Everyone, always fighting ^_^
