Please check my previous post for detailed information. I had it done at a hospital in Hongdae, and I had the implant removed early on day 18.
Finally, it has been two months. Now that it's been two months, I'm leaving a review.
I've been doing well. I don't even notice when the contraction phase comes. It probably has happened, but I don't feel it. It hasn't become pinched or saddle-shaped, and I've been doing fine.
However, when it rains or the air is very humid, my runny nose still comes back. I've lived as a rhinitis patient all this time, so I've been sniffling badly all day..... I even had functional nose surgery too.. but it didn't improve at all. Don't get functional nose surgery.... You'll only waste money and strain your body too much. Of course, it may differ from person to person.
After a month, I've been massaging diligently too. The bridge of my nose was hard, but it's becoming much softer. It moves well from side to side too, and the columella area is still firm, but it has become quite a bit softer. I can flare my nostrils haha
As for the shape of my nose.... scar tissue has filled in where the silicone was removed, so it's a bit higher than my original nose. I like that part. Even my friend, looking from the side, said it looks higher, so at least that makes me feel better. But ... I spent 300 on the first surgery and 460 on removal. Counting transportation, medication costs, and so on, I'm estimating it at about 800. Thinking about having spent 800, putting my body and mind through all that suffering... and still having to suffer for another 2 years.... it feels crushing... yes.. that's how it is... I just threw money into the air..
My original nose wasn't a low nose, but it was a broad, flat nose. Of course, since I took everything back out after raising it.. it's back to my original nose.... but.... it has returned to a broad, flat nose. Maybe I should say it's a little more straight and defined.. so I'm still feeling the same stress I had before surgery, because it's gone back to an unattractive nose. For the next 2 years, I have to keep watching it, and in the meantime I'm comforting myself with the idea that the shape of the nose will change a bit. I'll need to take care of it diligently and massage it carefully so it becomes prettier. Of course, I'm doing it gently.
As I said above, the contraction phase seems to be passing by without me even noticing whether it came or not. Looking at my nose now, I think it may just keep being like this for a while. I thought about why that might be, and I realized that when I had my original nose before the first surgery, I had a habit of touching my nose for a long time. My nose was extremely, extremely soft. It was a super soft nose, so maybe even if the nose contracts, I don't notice the feeling because it was already soft. I don't even know if my nose is being lifted.. sometimes it feels a little sharp, but not badly at all.. it's just peaceful. There's no pinching or saddle nose.. nothing like that at all. Even though I had it removed early, I think this was a case where the removal went well.
Well, since I have rhinitis and asthma, I think sniffling is unavoidable. So I always keep rhinitis-related medicine and nasal spray with me every day. I must have committed a lot of sins in my past life haha. I also do nasal rinsing once or twice a week. - They say it's good for people with rhinitis. The clinic said it was okay too. I still can't put in my pinky finger and dig around inside. Because my nose is lifted. (I guess this is the contraction phase.) The area beside the bridge and around the columella? is sunken in, so that's also uncomfortable. Mucus collects there... I wonder if you understand. I can still feel that my nose is swollen. I think it'll take at least half a year for the swelling to go down. I've heard it takes about 2 years for swelling to fully subside.. time is the answer. Don't rush too much; I think waiting slowly is the right answer. And I thought I knew that the nose shape settles completely after 2 weeks, but that's not true. It keeps changing. Don't be too impatient, everyone.
I've been taking swelling tea diligently. I've also been exercising diligently. I'm just living as usual without having to be especially careful about anything. I smoke regularly too. The only thing I'm being careful about is that, when I washed my face before, I sometimes accidentally jabbed my nostril with my pinky finger, and I'm avoiding only that haha
If you look at the attached photos... if you look at the photos in the previous post... you may be able to see the changes. In the photo taken from below, the nostrils were also uneven. (Previous photo - previous post) Now they're almost the same. I started applying scar cream after one month. I think I used it for about two weeks? I'm not using it now. Very small pimples often appear around the nose. I guess that can't be helped. I opened it up and stitched it back together again. I do feel like the scar tissue is there on the bridge of my nose, but other than that I don't think there is much else.
Well, that's it. I'll come back and write again when it's around 4 months... or half a year. Writing this, I don't even know what I was saying haha
