The consultation was quite long.. About 2 hours if including the counseling manager.. It took 2 hours including the CT scan (free), the facial contouring specialist, and the rhinoplasty specialist.
For facial contouring, as in the previous review, they said it would definitely be effective.. They said I have fairly prominent cheekbones, so they would shave them down up to right below the eyes.. The so-called ultra-close cheekbone reduction.. But right before going to this clinic, I happened to watch a YouTube video saying that shaving down to right under the orbit (under the eye) could be dangerous.. So I got scared for a moment,
but they confidently said, 'It is technically difficult, but I can do it,' which I liked. The cheekbone and the bone around the orbit are not separate bones; they are connected, and they said they shave up to under the eyes to maximize the effect (it differs by person; because my face itself looks a bit long, they said shaving right under the eyes and leaving a little cheekbone volume around the middle of the face would make the face look visually less long.)
For chin-tip surgery, they said they would do bone resection rather than a T-osteotomy. This was different from other clinics, so I found it odd at first. After hearing the explanation, if I had a T-osteotomy, since my front chin protrudes, it would need to be pushed backward, and the muscle would also be pushed in, increasing the chance of a double chin. But with bone resection, they would not push the muscle in; they would only shave the bone from the existing bone structure, so the chance of a double chin would be lower. They naturally do a lot of resection at the mandibular angle, but I had not heard much about doing a lot at the chin tip, so I asked if there were related side effects. They said there were none at all, and rather, if doing a T-osteotomy, titanium would have to be used again, so it is better not to use it.. Then they showed photos of people with a similar type to mine, and the protruding chin really looked like it had moved in enough, almost as if advancement/recession surgery had been done.
For people whose chin is set back and need advancement surgery, they said it is correct to pull it forward with a T-osteotomy, but for my type, that is not the case, and they also said they are good at this, so they are confident. They said they would cut about (0.5-0.8 mm). Is that a lot?
For the area under the ears, they said they would not cut too much and would leave about half of the existing length. To avoid a dog-jaw look. And they said making the chin tip as short as possible is this director's aesthetic standard, and it is a point they do not compromise on. They said, unless there is a particular reason, making it short is the most aesthetically pleasing. Especially since my face itself is on the long side, they said even if they shorten it a lot, it will improve enough. They also said the nerve line is well inside, so there is no risk.
Revision rhinoplasty They said costal cartilage has to be used, and since I am a man, I would probably feel burdened by the scar.. Other clinics said that because there is no support strut where the septum is, even if costal cartilage is used, there may be no aesthetic effect, and I told them all of that, but they said not to worry about that, and that as long as I agree to using costal cartilage, they will handle the rest somehow. There is an aspect that makes me trust them much more, but they are famous for facial contouring, while the nose seems relatively less famous, so I want to look into it a bit more.
The cost feels quite high compared with other clinics.
For aftercare, they said they have a separate aftercare center, so for 2 weeks I can come every day to receive swelling care. They said they take a CT once at 1 month and once at 3 months.
