I finally had rhinoplasty after completing my military service, and it has already been two weeks. Ever since I was in the military, I had been thinking that I definitely wanted to have my nose done after discharge.
I strongly believed that a man needs a handsome nose to look truly attractive. In my case, my nasal bridge was low and the tip was rounded and broad, so from the side I looked much less masculine.
I had saved money during my military service and strongly wanted to have surgery before starting a job, so I decided on rhinoplasty. I visited three clinics in total. Clinic A quoted 7.5 million won for the bridge, tip, and autologous costal cartilage, but it was more expensive than I expected, so I passed. Clinic B pressured me very strongly to book surgery. I wanted to compare all the quotes first, but they kept saying I could get a discount only by booking surgery that day, which was tiring;;
The third clinic, [Clinic A], had a reasonable price, and the director showed me many similar cases, saying that a long, straight line like BTS V’s nose would suit me well. In the end, I had autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty there.
I had no idea rhinoplasty would be this difficult… For several days after surgery, I had cotton packing in my nose and a splint attached, so breathing was uncomfortable and I could not sleep properly. Since I had to breathe through my mouth, my throat became so dry that I woke up several times during the night;;
Still, after two weeks, I feel much more comfortable than I did at first. The tip is still swollen and feels hard when touched, but it is amazing to have a nasal bridge now. Before, I had almost no bridge when viewed from the side, but now a line from my forehead to the tip is visible to some extent.
The tip no longer looks spread out like before, and I think the shape will look even better once the swelling goes down. It has only been two weeks, so I need to wait longer for the final shape, but for now I am relieved that it does not look excessively high.
