My boyfriend had always been self-conscious about his jaw and facial line, and it’s already been about four weeks since he had facial liposuction and muscle tying surgery. At first he had swelling and said his face felt tight, so even from the side I thought we should wait and see rather than expect an immediate dramatic change. But as the swelling went down week by week, it definitely felt different from before. He used to worry about his angle every time he took photos, and especially hated having his profile photographed. I wondered whether it bothered him that much, but he said he had always been conscious of his jaw and lower face. At his consultation, he was told that it wasn’t just fat and that the cheek and jaw areas also needed to be considered for a natural line. He had several necessary procedures done together, and looking back, doing only one area might not have produced the result he had imagined. Early on, there were days when his face looked a little puffy because of the swelling, but it subsided a lot after two weeks, and now, around week four, the boundary between his jaw and neck looks clearer than before. Previously, from the side, the area under his jaw seemed to blend straight into his neck, but now it looks like the two areas are gradually becoming distinct. Perhaps because his cheeks were refined too, his face looks less heavy overall. It’s probably still too early to say everything has fully settled, so I’m going to keep watching, but these days he looks in the mirror more often and doesn’t seem to worry nearly as much about his angle when taking photos. Haha. He used to immediately avoid the camera if I tried to take a profile photo, but now he just stays still, so I guess he’s fairly satisfied too. At first I wondered whether he really needed it, but after about four weeks, I can understand a little why it had been bothering him so much.
