My eyes were dry from wearing contacts every day, and when I wore glasses my eyes looked tiny, which was very stressful. I finally took the plunge and had surgery! The examination alone took over two hours; after precisely measuring my intraocular pressure, corneal endothelial cell count, and the size of the space inside my eye, I made my decision. I went in thinking about LASIK or LASEK, but they said my vision was too poor for those procedures! I was so scared during surgery, and it was nice that I could see immediately afterward.
