The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, so it was over after I slept and woke up without any pain at all. I think it took about 30 minutes. Before the anesthesia fully wore off, I quickly ate, and then I slowly started to feel a throbbing sensation. My upper lip felt numb and there was pain like after having a wisdom tooth removed, so I took medicine right away. From the second day, other than tightness when smiling and eating, I felt totally fine.
There was slight swelling in the philtrum and upper lip, about like getting filler lol? The stitches were transparent too, so they didn’t show, and I could go about daily life normally. Even immediately after surgery, the shape of my nostril wings changed a lot, so I liked it a lot from right after the surgery. On the second day, it was annoying having to wet a cotton swab with saline and remove the blood scabs.
It really doesn’t show at all and looks natural, so I’m satisfied. I only had alar reduction, but it feels like my nose line looks more refined, and people around me ask if I also had my nasal bridge done because my nose looks higher. I was really worried about scarring, but even though it’s only week 2, it doesn’t show at all, and because it’s in shadow, it doesn’t bother me~
