You really have to go to someone who is excellent at canthoplasty. Otherwise, even if you ask for just a little, they may end up tearing it open far too much, which is awful T_T
I never dreamed I would need restoration, but it’s truly miserable x100.
The one thing I can call fortunate is that the restoration went well. If this had failed too, it would have been no different from throwing money on the ground and jumping into the Han River.
I had medial canthoplasty restoration together with upper canthoplasty so my eyes would not look smaller. The canthoplasty had not been overdone to the point that a lot of sclera showed, so I think the shape changed without looking awkward.
Restoration greatly reduced the visible lacrimal caruncles, solving the problem of all the inner tissue showing, and that alone made me happy. I have also been told often that my eyes look prettier, so I’m doing much better emotionally after being depressed about the failed canthoplasty. Still, I can’t help being angry;;
The moment I most noticed my eyes had become prettier after the revision was when I looked at photos. Before, the awful inner corners immediately stood out in pictures. Now only the moderate opening shows, so they no longer stand out by themselves and make me look like a plastic-surgery monster. I like it.
Before revision, my eyes looked so bad that I could only sigh T_T People say the lacrimal caruncle should show a little so the eyes do not look stuffy, but showing it excessively is a different problem.
I clearly asked during my first consultation to remove only a little of the epicanthal fold, but if they tear it open however they want, what am I supposed to do?
When I went to ask anxiously whether it could be fixed, they said I would be fine with medial canthoplasty restoration. I was drawn to Siseon because they explained everything extremely thoroughly, as if trying to remove my anxiety.
The consultant’s explanation was also detailed, but the surgeon was even more so. I liked that they held a separate consultation even on the day of surgery, which is why I proceeded with the operation.
Since they really did that, I think my eye shape turned out properly. That is the difference from my previous hospital T_T
Next time, if I have any cosmetic procedure, I’ll stay alert and choose a place that explains things carefully and understands what I need.
