I was worried about my short nose, so I created a straight-line profile with autologous costal cartilage

Well.. Even though a short midface is supposedly trendy these days, a short nose was actually my biggest complex... It was not only short but also low and bulbous, making my face look wider and flatter. No matter how aggressively I tried facial slimming treatments, it still looked round. I had always wanted rhinoplasty since I was young, and decided it was better to do it while I was at least one year younger than to keep postponing it, so I had surgery with Dr. Yu Gi-hyeon at [Clinic A]. The nose I wanted was a straight-line nose like Shin Se-kyung's.. Anyone researching rhinoplasty takes at least one photo of Shin Se-kyung's nose, right? I was the same and wanted to follow that image as closely as possible.. In current terms, it was a trendy, high-fashion image. Because my complex was so severe, I emphasized these points to the doctor: a sophisticated and luxurious feeling; a shape and line that suited my face as much as possible; a rounded feeling from the tip to the columella without a line that was too angular or sharp; and an important frontal effect. That was about it...?? I had read that improving a low, bulbous nose like mine required a somewhat glamorous result, but I thought something too glamorous might not suit me and could feel burdensome, so I kept bothering the doctor right up until the day of surgery... Even so, the doctor empathized with my concerns and listened carefully. Since I thought that if I was having surgery, I should do it properly the first time, I chose autologous costal cartilage!! The autologous rib scar was smaller than expected, about 2 cm..? It is genuinely about the size of a fingernail, so it is not bothersome at all. It is healing well without being noticeable. Until days 2–3, it hurt when I laughed or sneezed, but after some time passed, it became much more manageable... They say it will improve further, but even now it is barely bothersome visually... From the front, my features look much more defined, and I am satisfied because the parts I wanted improved seem to have been addressed without making it obvious that I had rhinoplasty!! My friends said it turned out well without harming my image and that I made the right choice These days I enjoy taking selfies, and although I had agonized over rhinoplasty for a long time, I wonder why I waited until now. If you absolutely do not want revision surgery like me, autologous costal cartilage seems like a good option even for primary rhinoplasty!!!
