Nose Surgery Reviews

One month after my first rhinoplasty, I understand why alar base angle correction is needed

The third photo was taken two weeks after surgery, so there is still some bruising; the photos below it are from one month post-op. I only visited single-surgeon clinics, and chose a place where the surgeon spoke only facts and clearly explained what could and could not be done. Personally, that made me trust the clinic (the clinic name is [Clinic A]). It was my first rhinoplasty, so I was extremely nervous, but in the end I’m glad I had it done. At the first-week follow-up, the clinic also provided sebum care, and the surgeon personally checked my progress and explained whether anything was uncomfortable and whether the surgery was healing well. I had heard that many surgeons stop paying attention after surgery, so I liked how thorough they were. Before rhinoplasty, I was told that my forehead and chin projected farther than my nose, suggesting midface retrusion. I learned this during the consultation. Anyway, that had been stressing me out, but after correcting the columella and nasolabial angle during rhinoplasty, my forehead and chin look less prominent, so I’m 100,000 percent satisfied. I had no major discomfort through the one-month mark, and now it seems that the major swelling is gone, with only residual swelling left.
