I am writing this review after deliberately waiting to observe the progress because they said the effect would be semi-permanent! My cheekbones looked somewhat prominent, but when I touched them, it was fat rather than bone. I thought, how could I remove this by myself? I would need a procedure or surgery, I thought, crying. While researching clinics, I heard contour injections were good for reducing facial fat without burdensome downtime, so I chose places whose before-and-after results looked good. I rejected every place that did not have the surgeon conduct the consultation or recommended other procedures or areas, and only kept places that did not use steroids. Among them, I decided on Son Yuna Clinic, which appealed to me most. Before the procedure, they said that since I did not have much facial fat, smoothing mainly the fat line over the prominent anterior cheekbones would make my face much smoother. They did not say the fat would disappear immediately; they explained that time was needed to destroy the fat-cell membranes and reduce their number, so I would gradually notice the effect starting two weeks after one treatment. After consulting first with the coordinator and then the surgeon, I think I became determined (it strongly felt systematic and honest!). It was not painful enough to need numbing cream. Before the injections, I waited in a private room and massaged the treatment areas with a cooling stick; then the surgeon came, checked various things, and finished the injection procedure in the blink of an eye. Now the unevenness along my side profile has become completely smooth! I took photos in a pose as similar as possible to the selfie I took before the procedure, and even I can see that the side profile has changed. It almost looks as if my cheekbones were shaved, lol.
