It has already been six months since I had two facial-contouring procedures—chin-tip reduction and square-jaw reduction—at [Clinic B]. Soon after surgery, the swelling was severe and the inside of my mouth was uncomfortable, so I wondered when it would look natural. As time passed, I could see gradual changes, so waiting seems to have been worthwhile. At first my face was very swollen and the lines were unclear, but after two or three months I could feel my jawline gradually becoming defined. Now everything feels stable. After about six months, looking in the mirror no longer makes me think I had surgery; it feels natural, as if this had always been my face. I was most bothered by my long chin tip, and reducing it along with the square jaw made my facial proportions look much better. I am especially satisfied with that. The square jaw was refined softly without looking over-reduced, and I like that my face looks smaller from the front. As time passed, taking photos became much less stressful. I used to worry even about front-facing photos and especially avoided profile shots because of my chin, but now I take photos without worrying much about the angle. People around me do not say I look dramatically different; instead, they say my face looks slimmer or my overall impression has changed, which makes me feel it turned out naturally. At six months, I have almost no inconvenience in daily life and eating is not a concern at all. I worried a lot about swelling early on, but looking back, it seems to have been the natural settling process. During the consultation I explained what I wanted and what worried me one by one. I liked that they explained only the necessary procedures and did not push me to have more. They also checked me carefully at every follow-up, so I could recover with peace of mind. At first six months felt like a long time, but now that it has passed, the feeling is clearly very different from the early stage. The lines have become much more natural, and I am happy living with a facial shape closer to what I wanted.
