Eye Surgery Reviews

[Shocked!!] I never expected such a difference before and after lower-eye fat repositioning~ Suwon Goeunmiin review

I finally had my under-eyes done!!! 🥹 I had been waiting forever to write this review haha. The bulge under my eyes had been a complex for me since long ago I thought it was aegyo-sal, but gradually a shadow formed below it too, so in photos my dark circles looked extremely dark My dad has the same under-eye issue, so I guess it is hereditary In my early 20s it was still tolerable, but by 28 it gradually got worse. I was not even staying up all night, but hearing “You look really tired~” several times a day made me feel completely defeated 💢 I agonized over whether I should have lower-eye fat repositioning. Some of my friends had under-eye filler, but I did not know anyone who had lower-eye fat repositioning, so I was very hesitant. But I heard that if fat is the problem like in my case, filler could make the area even more bulging 😱 So I thought, “Surgery is my only answer…” and started researching extensively. I visited about three places for consultations, and the atmosphere was different everywhere 😮‍💨 One place was rather indifferent, saying, “You are young. Do you really need it now? You can do it later.” Another kept recommending a package including aegyo-sal filler under the eyes, which felt burdensome. A third explained things kindly, but the price was shocking, so I passed. I visited places in Seoul and Suwon, but it was hard to find somewhere I was 100% satisfied with. The costs and surgical methods all differed somewhat, so I had a lot to deliberate over Goeunmiin Clinic was the last place I visited, and honestly I did not have high expectations. But I liked that the consultation was candid haha. The doctor looked at my under-eyes and clearly said, “The fat is definitely protruding, so repositioning is more appropriate than filler,” and, “Because you are in your 20s and your skin has good elasticity, a non-incisional approach through the conjunctiva is sufficient. Rather than removing it, let’s move it toward the hollow area for a natural result.” They never suggested touching my aegyo-sal either. Instead, the doctor said, “Nothing serious will happen if you do not do it now, so you can take your time thinking about it~” I liked that there was no pressure. Still, I am cautious, so I did not do it that day; I thought about it for another two weeks and went back haha. As for the surgery, perhaps because it was non-incisional, it was more manageable than expected, and the pain was tolerable! To be honest, though, the swelling lasted a little longer than I had expected 😅 For the first 3–4 days, my under-eyes were puffy, so I panicked, thinking, “Oh no, did they become even more bulging?” haha. It started going down after a week. Around two weeks, it looked natural, and now, one month later, the shadow under my eyes has clearly faded. Now that the bulging has become smooth, I no longer hear people asking if I am tired!! That alone makes me completely satisfied. Even without eye makeup, my expression looks much brighter ♥ To be honest, I did not become a completely different person haha. Since it is hereditary, a very slight trace remains. But that is unavoidable, so I decided to accept it calmly haha. Still, for people like me who have been stressed by under-eye fat since they were young, I think it is definitely a worthwhile option 👍 If you decide to do it, do not rush. First get a proper diagnosis of whether your under-eye issue is caused by fat or pigmentation, and have several consultations at places that plainly recommend only what you need~ I considered it sufficiently before deciding, so I have absolutely no regrets 😚💕
