These are photos after my first rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim Hyeong-taek at Kowon Plastic Surgery. I had severe rhinitis and suffered from it all year. While looking into rhinitis surgery, I learned that rhinitis treatment and rhinoplasty could be done together, so I had functional nasal surgery at Kowon Plastic Surgery.
I thought a private clinic would probably examine me more carefully, so I chose Kowon from several candidates for male rhinoplasty. The doctor seemed highly specialized in rhinoplasty, and there were generally many reviews saying people were satisfied, so I think that is why I chose the clinic.
It was refreshing to have a 3D CT scan and a rhinoplasty consultation during my first visit. At one of the clinics I visited, the doctor looked busy and exhausted, came in without taking this kind of scan, lifted only the tip with a cotton swab, and hurriedly ended the consultation. At Kowon, I liked that the doctor performs only two operations a day and, perhaps because it is a one-doctor clinic, examined me calmly and in detail.
When asked what male nose shape I wanted, I mentioned actor Seo In-guk. I also agreed that ear cartilage could be used if my septal cartilage was insufficient. I had functional nasal surgery during leave before completing my military service, and even after recovering to some extent and returning to my unit, I completed my service without problems.
I have no discomfort, and daily life used to be difficult because there was a lot of dust inside the unit, but these days I can breathe well through my nose. Aesthetically, I also like that it turned out with the masculine yet natural male-nose-surgery look I wanted. People say my overall image looks much better.
I hope my review helps people looking into functional nasal surgery for rhinitis together with male rhinoplasty. Is this considered a successful male rhinoplasty?
