My nose was not particularly unattractive, but I had disliked its large, spread-out appearance and the dull impression from seeming sunken since my teens. I had heard through extensive research and word of mouth that Dr. Lee was skilled at eye and nose surgery, so I went for a consultation after hearing that he was opening a solo practice.
In short, I underwent lateral nasal bone osteotomy, dorsal hump correction, bulbous-nose correction, and incisional alar reduction, using donated rib cartilage and ear cartilage. I had agonized over rhinoplasty for years and was exhausted from searching for information, but the consultant and doctor explained things neatly, without pressure or sales talk. Their preference for a natural result matched mine, and their confidence made me decide to trust them.
There is not much visible change in photos, and frontal swelling remains, so I am sharing only a slight side view for now. Without excessive shape or impression changes, exactly the things I had worried about disappeared, and in person I am already very satisfied. Alar reduction was a surgery I hesitated over because I found so many horror stories, but it is healing cleanly without obvious scarring. It was quite a major operation, but I think it went very well. It looks more natural every day; people do not notice I had surgery unless I mention it, and they are surprised when I say it has only been two months. I am happy whenever I look in the mirror lol...😚
I am very timid and worried, so I had many questions after surgery, but Dr. Lee and the consultant explained everything carefully without showing annoyance and reassured me. I am very glad I chose Uni Plastic Surgery. I was also worried about frightening additional charges, but there were absolutely none. I think it is a transparent and honest hospital. I recommend it. When more time has passed and the frontal swelling decreases, I will upload the frontal changes too.
