I had buried double eyelids that had come undone because of a stye several years ago—or maybe longer; I no longer remember—and was stressed about it. I carefully looked through apps and community reviews, found clinics I liked, and booked consultations. My three top priorities were: one surgeon per clinic, a natural approach, and no excessive pressure. During my consultation, Dr. Lee Hee-young explained everything while designing a line in millimeters that suited my eyes. I had heard that revision surgery was usually done by incision, so I planned to choose a clinic that could perform buried-suture surgery. They said buried-suture surgery was possible. I had gone in thinking about full canthoplasty, but after shaping the design, the doctor advised that outer and lower canthoplasty would suit my eyes better. The clinic met all my priorities, so since I tend to handle everything at once when I go out, I scheduled the surgery immediately along with the consultation. Of course, because this is surgery, everyone is different in terms of cost and how well the desired result can be achieved, so please think it over thoroughly before deciding. On the day of surgery, I pretended to be calm on the outside, but inside I was extremely scared. The staff noticed, talked to me, held my hand, and helped me relax. The doctor came in, finalized the line, and put me under sedation. I vaguely remember being told that I might open and close my eyes during the procedure. I had resolved to wake up properly if they roused me, but—wait, what? It’s me. I was being moved to the recovery room; I had simply closed and opened my eyes, and everything was already finished. I rested comfortably in the recovery room with a cold pack, received my medication after discharge, and went home. At the clinic, I only took a quick look to see whether the line had come out well, but when I examined it carefully at home, wow, the line looked amazing—yay! I asked for a very natural result, and I think the line I wanted will appear perfectly once the swelling goes down more. I hope everyone who read this has a great surgical result, good health, a long life, and wins first prize in the lottery! Before-and-after photos attached~
