I thought I’d be done after my first surgery lol, but my implant felt unstable and my columella had curled inward, so I eventually needed revision surgery T_T. After having one problem, I was terrified to make the decision a second time. I kept wondering what if it went wrong again, so I searched reviews constantly before surgery and kept touching my nose to check it... I heard this doctor was frequently sought for revision rhinoplasty, so I had surgery with Dr. Sehwi Hwang. We replaced the existing silicone implant, performed osteotomy and long-nose correction, and reshaped the tip with autologous costal cartilage. Early on, I was more worried about whether the nose would settle properly than about swelling. Since there had been a problem the first time, even the slightest strange sensation made me anxious and I kept looking in the mirror T_T. But as time passed, the swelling went down and the shape began to settle, and I finally felt relieved. The columellar depression that had stressed me most before improved, making the tip look much more stable. Even from the front, the center of my nose looks straight, and from the side, the line from the bridge to the tip and columella is much cleaner than before. The long-nose appearance has also decreased a lot. Before, the tip drooped and made the center of my face look long, but now that the tip is positioned properly, my whole face looks clearer and more refined. Most importantly, I’m much less bothered by the feeling that the implant is unstable when I touch my nose like before. It’s great that the shape is prettier, but not having to worry about my nose every day is truly comfortable T_T. Since it was revision surgery, my standards for satisfaction were much higher and my worries were several times greater, but looking at the before-and-after photos now, it really looks like I finally got a good nose this time, so I’m extremely satisfied lol. After having surgery again with Dr. Sehwi Hwang at ID, I’ve also stopped constantly examining my nose for problems. When I was considering revision rhinoplasty, I hated the idea of getting back on the operating table, but seeing the result now, I feel it was right to find the courage haha.
