Nose Re-Surgery

Will cartilage used to fill an indentation become visible after nasal implant removal?

Eleven days ago, I had silicone, part of my septum, and ear cartilage removed. I was told the indentation would be reinforced with cartilage if it appeared. I told them before surgery that I really disliked putting anything back in, so they should fill it only if the indentation was severe and otherwise leave it alone. After surgery, they said an indentation had appeared and they reused my existing ear cartilage to fill it. The filled area looks slightly raised, and the cartilage also seems to show through as a white, square shape… Will it improve with time? Is it swelling…? Or am I noticing it because I psychologically disliked having cartilage put back in and was told that it was done? Has anyone in this community who had an indentation filled with cartilage experienced visible or palpable cartilage or another problem?
