I had only the tip of my nose operated on by Dr. Lee Ji-hwan at Between, using septal cartilage and ear cartilage. I deliberated over whether to shave down the hump but decided not to. The surgeon said that if the tip were raised to match the hump, it would become too high, so they would raise it to an appropriate and attractive height, and warned me in advance that there might later be a slight step caused by the hump.
I also considered alar reduction, but since it cannot be reversed, I decided not to do it and to think about it after the tip surgery. I decided on rhinoplasty because I really disliked how bulky my nose looked from the front, and I was not aiming for a higher nose.
In terms of progress, my nose looks much slimmer from the front than before, and the drooping tip has also improved naturally, so I am satisfied. I think Between’s signature is making things look natural without going overboard. People around me cannot tell that I had plastic surgery! That could be an advantage or a disadvantage. I wanted a natural result, so I am satisfied.
