Around the winter of my eighth-grade year, I had non-incisional double-eyelid surgery and ptosis correction together, and it has now been about four years since surgery. Before surgery, I had monolids, but people often said my eyes were naturally large. So I didn’t want my impression to change too much or look unnatural, and overall I’ve been really satisfied with the result. After surgery, people around me often said my eyes were pretty, and I think the result turned out well enough that I’m used to hearing those compliments now haha. However, the double-eyelid line wasn’t completely natural at first. Until ninth grade, the incision line was noticeable when I looked down or lowered my gaze, and it was still slightly noticeable until early tenth grade. I think I was especially bothered that the line showed more when looking down than when looking straight ahead. But it gradually became more natural over time, and afterward, people who didn’t know I’d had double-eyelid surgery had no idea I’d had surgery. They didn’t ask either; they seemed to think I naturally had double eyelids. I had the non-incisional method and ptosis correction together, and after about four years, the line hardly bothers me and feels naturally settled. Even when I had monolids, people said my eyes were large, but after surgery, my eye shape changed and I started hearing more often that I looked pretty. Personally, I’m most satisfied that it became natural over time. Of course, surgical results and recovery vary from person to person, but I’ve been doing well without much regret so far. I hope this helps people who are considering surgery! I had it done in Gangnam by a somewhat handsome, young male doctor, but looking at the current medical staff, he doesn’t seem to be there anymore. I had it quite cheaply—around 600,000 won total for non-incisional double-eyelid surgery plus ptosis correction. The doctor was also kind during the consultation.
