I had under-eye fat repositioning and double eyelid surgery before Chuseok. After turning 40, I seemed to age rapidly; I had single eyelids, developed eye wrinkles, and the area under my eyes bulged out, which was stressful. I was scared beforehand, but it was less painful and simpler than expected. The scariest part seemed to be lying on the operating table before anesthesia... Since it was sleep anesthesia, I fell asleep briefly, woke up, and it was over. There was no taping after the under-eye procedure, so it was fine to wear only sunglasses on the way home. The pain was less than expected, so I’m diligently applying cold compresses and medication now. I’ll post updates as I recover.
