Eye Surgery Reviews

Revision for Creased Double Eyelids

I had double-eyelid surgery with a full incision during winter vacation in ninth grade. After more than two years, the line gradually became thinner, and excess skin remained above my eyes, causing overlapping creases. It was natural enough that people could not tell I had surgery unless I mentioned it, but I was still so upset after spending time and money on it. In the second year, I went back to the clinic where I had surgery. They said it was because the skin above my eyes had stretched, so they removed only that skin and sutured it again. It was better than before, but the overlapping creases returned, and when my eyes swelled in the morning, two or three lines appeared, lol. The line also faded, so without makeup people asked, “Did you used to have double eyelids?” After five years, I decided on revision surgery and went for a consultation. They said it was not because the skin had stretched but because the lifting strength of my eyelids was insufficient, so removing skin alone would not solve it and I needed ptosis correction again. I had my eyes reopened, all adhesions released, and asked for a thorough ptosis correction. The asymmetry of the line from my previous surgery, which I disliked, also improved a lot, so I am living quite happily now. Of course, revision surgery requires even more careful consideration, but if you are stressed, I recommend researching thoroughly and going ahead.
