Eye Surgery Reviews

Nine months after lower eyelid surgery, my expression looks brighter these days..

When I was researching lower eyelid surgery, I searched through reviews in this community like crazy.. I never thought I would write a review myself lol. Before surgery, the fat under my eyes had looked noticeably protruded since my early twenties. Then, as my skin lost elasticity, dark circles became much more pronounced underneath. If I applied thick concealer, it dried and cracked over time. In photos, my under-eyes looked puffy, so I always looked tired and was often told I looked older than my age. That was my biggest stress.. I genuinely looked unbelievably tired, and erasing my under-eyes was essential whenever I edited photos. 1. Surgery day and weeks 1–2 Surgery day: After waking from sedation, my under-eyes felt slightly heavy and tingly. There was no severe pain, but the light bothered me a little, so I just sat there blankly. Days 1–3: On days 2–3, I had swelling and yellow bruising. Because the surgery was performed from inside the eye, I had more discharge than usual and felt slight dryness. I kept using cold packs constantly. Days 4–7: I returned to work on day 4. Some residual swelling and mild yellow bruising remained, but wearing a mask and thick-rimmed glasses made it easy to work. After a week, the major swelling had completely gone down. I applied sunscreen very diligently and also used bruise cream in case the bruising became pigmented. 2. Months 1–6 Months 1–2: The protruding fat became flat, but when I touched my under-eyes, they felt slightly firm and lumpy. At first, I worried that the fat might have been over-removed and searched by myself. Months 3–6: After passing month 4, the firm areas became soft and settled naturally into the under-eye skin. There was no excessive hollowing or unevenness at all; it became clean and smooth. I can apply makeup comfortably, and even with just a quick application of concealer, my under-eyes look neat. Even now, nine months later, they remain completely flat without recurrence or hollowing. Since the shadowy bulges under my eyes disappeared, my whole face looks much cleaner and more energetic. Best of all, even without makeup, nobody says I look tired..^^ If too much fat is removed during lower eyelid surgery, the area can become hollow later and make the eyes look sunken and aged. I think Dr. Saegim redistributed just the right amount while considering this, so the volume would not collapse. One tip: absolutely avoid any action that puts pressure on your eyes for one week after surgery!! I think walking and cold packs are much better for reducing swelling than pumpkin extract. Walk no matter what..!!!
