I originally had double-eyelid surgery using the buried-suture method, but the crease was too high for me and looked sausage-like, which stressed me out. The clinic had said the crease was just right at the time, but after surgery it settled into a really puffy-looking crease that seemed not to have lost its swelling, and I could not even cover it with makeup... (I also thought it would come out exactly like the line they marked with the stick T_T.) I understand that lowering the crease can be difficult even during revision eyelid surgery, but while looking for clinics that perform many revision surgeries, I heard that [Clinic A] was known for improving sausage eyes, so I visited. After examining my eyes, the doctor explained that there is a limit to how high the crease can be raised, and that the crease had been designed far higher than that, which is why it turned out this way. I had originally been considering a double-incision revision, but the doctor said it could be sufficiently improved by lowering the crease through an incision, so I decided to lower the crease while also tidying the lower-eyelid fat. I had crease lowering, upper canthoplasty, lower-eyelid fat repositioning, and lower-eyelid fat grafting. Each procedure sounds major on its own, but I think it sounds more so because they are listed together. I thought the crease looked really neat when my eyes were closed, and recovery was also quick after the stitches were removed! I know not every private clinic is like this, but I liked that the doctor personally checked my progress every time I visited. Since my skin is thin, the doctor recommended lower-eyelid fat grafting with microfat. Before surgery, the unevenness under my eyes made me look tired, but now the area has been smoothed out, and I often hear that I look younger. The lower crease is obviously much better too T_T. I regretted my double-eyelid surgery every day, but I finally feel that I found a design that suits me! If you are worried about sausage eyes like mine, I sincerely recommend it.
