Eye Surgery Reviews

My eye bags run in the family, so it couldn’t be helped!

I originally had fairly severe lower-eyelid sagging because it runs in my mother’s family T_T But it seemed to get worse as I grew older, so I had surgery at the same place where my mother had hers.

My mother had a brow lift and lower blepharoplasty at [Clinic A] three years ago, and the results were excellent. So instead of going around to many places, I first went to the clinic where my mother had surgery for a consultation.

During the consultation, the doctor carefully examined not only under my eyes but also the sagging around my eyebrows. The doctor explained that, for my eyes, it would be better to combine lower blepharoplasty with a brow lift.

At first I wondered if I was simply doing the same two procedures because my mother had done both, but that was not the case. A brow lift improves sagging around the upper eyelids, while lower blepharoplasty improves sagging or bulging under the eyes. The doctor explained that, in my case, it would be better to consider both the upper and lower areas together.

After hearing the explanation, I understood why both procedures had been recommended, so I decided to have them together. Before surgery, I was worried that an operation around the eyes would cause a lot of swelling and bruising, but it was better than I expected, and things are gradually settling now!

I am especially satisfied that the previously puffy and sagging appearance under my eyes has decreased. My mother was also happy and said I was right to have it done at the place where she had surgery lol.

The lower-eyelid sagging itself could not be helped because it runs in the family, but it had always bothered me, so I feel relieved after surgery. I still need to watch the progress, but so far I am satisfied!
