Nose Surgery Reviews

Specialized clinic for closed rhinoplasty..

Around September 2024, I began looking into revision rhinoplasty. I saw a clinic’s blog and before-and-after photos showing that it had performed closed rhinoplasty for a long time, and the results looked good, so I trusted them. After consultation, I was told surgery was possible and decided to proceed. On October 12, 2024, I underwent revision rhinoplasty after paying about 27.5 million won, including stem-cell treatment. However, when I went to the clinic the next day, they said mesh material had come out of my nose and asked me to pay an additional 1.5 million won to handle it, which I paid. The wound inside my nose continued not to heal after surgery. I did not smoke, rarely went out, and took the utmost care of it by applying the prescribed medication, but the clinic claimed it might have happened because I had not managed it properly. Around November 20, 2024, the skin attached inside came away. The clinic said the mucous membrane had weakened while removing the mesh, and on November 26 said a skin graft was necessary. I paid another 2 million won and underwent surgery. After that, the columella—the column between the nose and upper lip—gradually became dark red. The clinic said it was a circulation problem. Two weeks later, the grafted skin came away again. The clinic said the graft had not taken properly, so I had another skin graft. At the time, they said, “Let’s try to save the skin with stem-cell treatment,” and I was put under sedation for the treatment. They woke me while I was asleep and said the skin graft had to be redone, asking me to pay another 2 million won. I paid while barely awake from anesthesia, was sedated again, and underwent surgery. However, I later heard that they had performed additional nasal procedures, not merely a skin graft: septal reconstruction, nasolabial angle correction, removal of the existing autologous costal cartilage and replacement with donor rib cartilage, and silicone removal. It is absurd and incomprehensible. After that, my nose became irreparably damaged. On January 7, 2025, the clinic said my nose was not regenerating and that the columella had contracted. I paid 500,000 won for anesthesia and underwent surgery to remove skin from my scalp and graft it. Testing of pus collected from my nose around this time detected bacteria of the Bacillus group. In the end, despite repeated skin grafts, the columella progressively contracted and collapsed. Later, due to personal circumstances, I was unable to visit the clinic in person for some time, so a family member went instead, explained the situation, and asked them to perform revision surgery when I returned. The clinic reportedly agreed. After my circumstances were resolved, I contacted the clinic again, but making an appointment was not smooth. I asked whether the appointment arranged by my family could be changed, but the clinic canceled it, even though I had never asked them to cancel it. When I tried to make another appointment, they said it would only be possible several months later. After repeatedly requesting an appointment, I visited the clinic on July 6, 2026. The clinic said there was no particular problem with my nose. When I asked the director to explain the CT scan again because it had not been explained to me, I was told I could hear the explanation in December. They also said that if I wanted another surgery, I would have to pay 13.6 million won for materials plus 500,000 won for anesthesia. Since the problem with my nose was clearly severe, I went to a university hospital. I was told I had an internal nasal perforation, tissue necrosis, and columellar collapse, and that I needed revision procedures such as a free flap and treatment over two years. The total amount I paid the clinic was 33,388,000 won. I requested a refund of 2.2 million won because I did not receive two of the stem-cell treatments I initially paid for, but they initially refused. Then, after the recent clinic video scandal broke, I requested a refund again and only then received the 2.2 million won. Since then, I have received neither treatment nor contact from the clinic. For reference, after nearly two months without contact, I received a formal legal notice. This is a closed-rhinoplasty clinic promoted by a famous influencer, with dozens of victims..
