I went in already knowing that the doctor was cynical, so that was fine. As soon as I went in, I sat in a chair, checked my nose from all angles, and had the consultation. They said the hump-nose revision would have to be done with costal cartilage, but I was a little scared of having surgery with costal cartilage, so I hesitated. They listed off a ton of possible complications after surgery and reasons it might not turn out the way I wanted, and I wondered if they say the same thing to everyone else too. I went in really excited after reading the blog reviews and thinking it was my top choice, but there was a gap between the direction I wanted and the direction they suggested. I’m thinking about it and will probably visit other hospitals too.
