I am 2 weeks post-op after tip ear cartilage & septal cartilage + osteotomy for the bridge of the nose (first surgery). I chose this clinic after quickly looking around in this community, booking consultations at 3 clinics, and comparing them. I had an open procedure... and the details of the surgery are as above. At first I was only thinking about the tip with a non-open method + ear cartilage. I had never really thought about rhinoplasty before, but I happened to hear about Kozelko, then I thought maybe I would try that, and that is how I ended up here... haha I did not want to get cosmetic surgery that I did not really need and end up with visible surgery traces and scars. But after learning more, I also heard open surgery was better, so I visited Obli, which only does open procedures, as well. My first impression was not great. Even just looking at the detailed rules for the deposit made me feel that this was not an ordinary place. But once I actually went, the coordinator was friendly, and the doctor was kind. The coordinator does not have that stereotypical plastic-surgery-coordinator vibe you see on YouTube. The doctor... has a slightly kind-of-friendly-AI vibe. I saw some bad reviews about the doctor's kindness, and I can see how people might feel that way, but I think 99% of people will be satisfied. 1. Price: It is expensive. It was in the low 5 million won range (the estimate was similar even with custom silicone), but... I felt sure there must be clinics in Korea offering the same procedure for the high 3 million won range... The difference between the high 3 million range and the low 5 million range is 1.5 million won.. I figured that was cheaper than the trust level of that clinic and the time and stress of searching for it, so I just decided on this place. 2. Surgery The surgery was hell. They woke me up in the middle because I was moving too much .. T_T I had surgery while awake for about 40 minutes, and you can feel everything very clearly, like the nose being opened, the ear cartilage being cut and placed onto the nose, all of that... except the pain. The reason I was moving was that my neck was so uncomfortable. I have severe forward head posture, so I cannot sleep without a pillow, and of course there was no pillow on the operating table... I kept fidgeting so much that the doctor asked me if I had a pleasant dream... haha.. as if that could be the case... Anyway, it was one of the few truly terrifying experiences of my life. It felt like what it would be to become a human test subject. My eyes were covered, and my hands and feet were restrained... lol... 3. Results Anyway, I am sure this is what everyone wants to know. At 2 weeks, I am satisfied with the side profile, but I am still not sure about the front view. The day the splint came off, my nose looked huge and unfamiliar, but the volume is gradually going down. The side profile is exactly what I like right now, but I do not know whether the tip will drop more. From the first day after surgery, it never felt like "the tip is lifted, like a pig nose" in the first place. The nose has looked the same since the first day after surgery. (Only the tip height, while the volume has decreased a lot.) The reason I wrote a review at all is actually the scar. They stitched so well that even though only 2 weeks have passed, there is only a very, very faint red line left. It is so invisible that even if the scar never improves any further, I would be okay with it. The doctor said there would be a scar, but there is none? lol Maybe my skin quality helped, but the doctor seems to be the type who speaks very conservatively. 4. Final thoughts In conclusion, I recommend it. Because the result is good, the pain of the surgery process gets romanticized. Of course I would not want to have a revision. The surgical process was too hard... If I had done it with silicone, I might have ended up on the operating table even if I did not want a revision because of contracture... Thinking about that makes me feel that choosing no implant was a very good decision. But if you have a very clear idea of the nose shape you want, I do not recommend doing no-implant surgery here. If you do no-implant surgery, no matter what you do, the result will ultimately reflect the director's style. But this place is one of the better ones in the Gangnam area in terms of aesthetics, so... even if you end up thinking "this is not the style I wanted," I do not think you would say "it was ruined." If you have a clear shape in mind, then you can just do a custom implant, right? I did not do it, so I do not know. And honestly, I wondered if the osteotomy was an unnecessary add-on (it was the doctor's opinion, and I thought it might not be needed), but in the end it does seem better to have done it. Comparing with other reviews, whether or not osteotomy is done seems to make about a 1 million won difference, so if the doctor recommends it, I think it is best to just do it. It has only been 2 weeks, so I still need to watch how things develop, but for now I think the drooping of the tip will need time to be evaluated. In any case, the tip was already drooping before, which is why I had the surgery, so even if it droops a bit after surgery, it will not be worse than before, I guess.
