Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Review after double jaw surgery because of asymmetry and a long midface (4 months)

Before double jaw surgery, my biggest concern was improving the asymmetry, and I also felt that my midface looked a bit long, so I hoped that part would also look more balanced after surgery. About a month after surgery at [Clinic A], the phrase "I can finally look like a person again" was exactly right, lol. The inside of my cheeks felt a bit like they were getting caught when chewing, but it was much better than at the beginning, haha. As I kept up with jaw exercises, I could open my mouth better and better, and after eating mostly soft foods, I was even able to start eating regular meals little by little. More than anything, what satisfied me the most was the change in my facial shape. As the swelling went down, people kept telling me my face looked smaller, and from the side it was really amazing to see that the lower jaw was set back compared to before the surgery. The asymmetry that had bothered me the most also improved noticeably, and my midface no longer looked as long as it used to, so overall I was very satisfied that my face looked much more balanced 💕 Up until the 3-month mark, there was still some residual swelling and a slightly tight feeling in the skin, and chewy or hard foods were not completely comfortable yet, but I could still feel things improving over time, so it was worth the wait, haha. Now I can see my jawline becoming more defined, which feels really rewarding, and overall the asymmetry and the impression of a long midface that worried me have been greatly improved, so my satisfaction is really high haha. I think I will be very happy even if only the remaining swelling settles down more from here, so I am going to manage it even more diligently, lol 💕💕
