Hi! Today is exactly one week since my surgery, so I'm here with an update. On top of what was basically nothing, like two raisins on a cracker, I now have small, cute breasts. I like that the shape looks natural!!! I said I wanted full A to B size, and right now it feels like I'm filling about a B cup because of the swelling. It should keep going down from here haha,, (If you're wondering why I made them so small, please read my earlier posts!) - Motiva Demi, L215 R230, underarm incision First, my early pain was really severe and it was hard, but it definitely improved. What is hardest now is that I still can't fully extend or lift my arms. The surgeon said if I don't stretch my arms, recovery will be slower, so even if it hurts, I have to stretch more... Pulling on the arm muscles hurts so much I feel like I'm going crazy haha T_T Below are my notes from days 2 to 7 Day 2 I figured out how to get up by myself: rolling over to get up... Of course, if I use the wrong kind of strength, I end up making a loud sound, but,,, my chest feels so heavy and sore. Still, the pain is less than yesterday. But using my arms is hard. Maybe because I'm tense, my neck is stiff too and completely knotted up. Sleeping is the hardest part... Still, I was feeling okay enough that my parents came over and we went out to eat and walked around. But I was told I looked like a zombie (I have to walk really slowly). Also, Mom washed my hair for me. So refreshing!!! T_T Day 3 Getting up is still so hard. Every time I stand up, it feels like the two heavy stones attached to my chest are going to fall to the floor, with a heavy, stabbing pain. My breasts seem a bit swollen, and the compression band is pressing on them painfully. Using my arms is still hard. If anything, it feels like the range of motion of my arms has gotten smaller... Both arms are so tingly. I also tried lying down at a 45-degree angle to sleep, but my right breast hurt so badly that I was startled and sat up to sleep. Day 4 Because I slept sitting up, my tailbone hurt and I kept waking up in the middle. Originally I was supposed to get hyperbaric oxygen therapy on day 3, but it was fully booked so I went today. I took the bus plus subway for over an hour because it seemed wasteful to take a taxi. It was better than I thought, except for the bus jolting... Also, I had to lie down completely for the oxygen therapy, and it was better than I expected.!!! On the way back I took public transit again. I felt a little more human. I even played computer games for 4 hours... I tried to sleep, but of course the right breast started stabbing again T_T Day 5 I slept at a 20 to 30 degree incline instead of my usual position. In the early morning I was uncomfortable and struggled for over 30 minutes trying to get up by myself, but my right breast hurt too much so I gave up. In the end, my older sister helped me up. When will the right side finally feel okay? It's already day 5 and I still can't get up by myself... Even my forearms don't have much strength, and my tendons? muscles? feel so pulled. Still, my breast pain was okay during the day, so I cooked for myself. + My abdominal bloating is next level, I look like a pregnant woman.. T_T Day 6 Today I slept mostly lying down, and after struggling for 30 minutes I succeeded in getting up by holding on and rolling to the side. Wow. I also succeeded in washing my hair by myself at the sink T_T!! I hung out the laundry and did housework too. Other than not being able to fully extend my arms yet (it hurts a lot and my muscles feel pulled T_T), I'm much better. Day 7 As soon as I opened my eyes, I had the feeling that maybe I could get up better on my own today. And then I got up in 8 minutes (getting faster and faster haha!!!). As expected, extending my arms is the hardest part. Today was my follow-up visit to the hospital, so I washed my hair by myself again and took another 1 hour bus plus subway ride. I also stopped by the dentist before going. The bus driver started suddenly, so I grabbed the handrail and tightened my chest muscles. It hurt insanelyyyyy much. I had my follow-up with the surgeon. He said I need to stretch my arms a lot to recover faster... He held my arms and rotated them, kyaaaaaa T_Tttttt. After removing the stitches (I didn't feel anything), I got CryoCell and breast pack care, and finally got permission to shower with waterproof bandages on... Showering after just one week in summer, wow... (Before that I had been wiping my upper body with shower wipes and only washing my lower body.) But after showering with the waterproof bandages on, they all fell off when I was done... oh no...? It got completely wet, so what do I do now haha... That's all for now... If a waterproof bandage fails and the scar area gets wet while showering, what should I do..? I just let it dry for now T_T... Since it's under the armpit, the waterproof bandage doesn't stick properly T_T
