Hi hi, I like posting reviews and things like this, so I’m writing one for my double eyelid surgery too.
First of all, my eyes were not eyes without double eyelids. I naturally had double eyelids, so honestly I wasn’t thinking about double eyelid surgery, but they weren’t pretty double eyelids. The inner corners were completely swallowed, and these days inner-out and semi-out styles are in fashion, right? But mine were neither inner-out nor semi-out... and not quite inner double eyelids either. It was such an awkward line, lol.
Eyes are honestly one of the most important things on a woman’s face, but because my eyes looked heavy and cramped, my whole facial features looked heavy too. In the end I decided I had to do something about it and wanted to raise the eyelid line, so I visited several double eyelid clinics in person.
But honestly, most of the Gangnam clinics were talking about forehead lift. For people like me whose eyelid line is buried, they said the line can only be raised naturally if you do a forehead lift too. So I had actually booked for both forehead lift and double eyelid surgery at first, but after just thinking of the double eyelid surgery as a simple procedure, the surgery became too big and I got so scared T_T
The surgery date was almost here when I got really anxious and just canceled it that day. I’m a bit sorry to that hospital... the coordinator was kind too..... But I really felt like a forehead lift was not possible, so I started over and visited places again. Among them, I had surgery at a place that said a forehead lift wasn’t necessary and that double eyelid surgery plus ptosis correction would be enough.
Because the inner corners of my eyes felt cramped, they said I should also do an inner corner opening, and I wanted them to become wider horizontally. I asked for a natural + Irene-like(^^) inner-out shape. I brought an Irene photo haha... shameless, I know.. The director said it was fully possible, but honestly I was still scared...... Everyone was telling me to do a forehead lift, and I was really afraid and nervous, thinking what if I ended up with a line I really didn’t want?
In the end, I’m honestly so satisfied now!! It’s really just a tiny difference, but the line became so much prettier and the eyes that looked cramped now look much more open! I also wanted to do outer corner surgery because my eyes were very narrow, but the director discouraged me so I didn’t do it. If anything, I think that made it more natural, so I like it.
Anyway, the last thing I want to say is this: double eyelid surgery is something people nowadays talk about as if it’s a simple procedure, so everyone tends to think of it too lightly. But your eyes are honestly the most visible part of your face, right?? Depending on who the director is and their sense of aesthetics, your eyes can change a lot by just a tiny amount. So make sure to visit many clinics for double eyelid surgery! If the diagnoses differ a lot, for the first surgery, decide in a direction that is not too excessive! That’s what I wanted to say~ Well then, that’s all ~~
