I got a fat-dissolving injection in the chin area once. The wait time was longer than I expected, and there seemed to be quite a lot of people from different countries. The doctor was cheerful and kind, and it ended pretty quickly. It was just something I got as a one-time experience, but for the first few months there wasn't much difference. Then, about six months later, looking at photos, there was a period when the chin fat suddenly seemed to drop off a lot. At the time, I had been dieting hard, but the chin fat kept not going away, so I got it done. I think the effect only showed up after quite a long time.
