Start review

Since I had it done in August last year, this is a review after about one year. I usually had very severe dark circles and was really stressed about them. The bulging under-eyes could not be hidden even with makeup. They were such dark under-eyes that I couldn't even imagine showing my bare face T_T Then, while I was browsing around after installing a popular plastic surgery app for the first time, I saw a review of Start's under-eye fat repositioning in the featured posts at that time. After reading that, I thought, wow, there is even such a surgery, and I immediately booked a consultation. Since it was my very first consultation with a plastic surgery clinic, I did not really understand much even after listening to the manager and the doctor, and I came out on the day of the first consultation with a reservation deposit already paid, just because they said it could improve dark circles and suggested booking lol. I was so unaware and pure that I thought under-eye fat repositioning was only done at this hospital lol. Because it was my first ever cosmetic consultation, I did not even think about comparing options or doing homework. And when my friends asked why I booked right away, I regretted it so much, thinking I should have looked into it more and considered it longer, but in the end I decided to trust my choice and the surgery day came. Looking back now, I made the reservation rather casually, but I am still glad that I did not have any major complications after surgery lol. In fact, it still seems to be well known for under-eye fat repositioning these days lol. After the surgery, I was very swollen for about a week, so I did not even know what had changed or how it had changed. After the swelling went down, the under-eyes definitely became cleaner. I also got laser and LED treatment as part of post-op care. For the fat grafting touch-up, they said it was okay not to do it, so I got laser instead. Oh, and the manager who had consulted with me seemed to pay a bit less attention after the surgery. At the follow-up care visit, I tried to greet them in a cheerful way, but maybe they did not want to run into me, because they did not even look in my direction. Well, it could be a misunderstanding lol. But after that, at other places I went to for different procedures, it also seemed that after procedures or surgeries there is not much contact with the manager, so I am still not sure about that. I felt a bit hurt about that part lol. Anyway, recently I looked at myself in a mirror while standing under a bright light in a dark place, and my under-eye area did have a hollowed or sunken feeling like Kaonashi. So I was startled. But I usually do not notice it. It seems to be because of the lighting. When I am bare-faced, there is still a slightly dark crease under the eyes. I know pigmentation cannot really be helped. Still, when I wear makeup, the dark circles are not visible like before. For me, it just changed from a worn-out under-eye area to a normal person's under-eye area, so if I do not tell new people, they would not know I had under-eye fat repositioning at all. People I meet after a long time just say I look brighter, that is about it. The aegyo-sal and eye-smile I was worried about before surgery did not disappear and are still there lol. Lately, maybe because I rub my eyes a lot or maybe it is just in my head, one side does seem to be recurring slightly again, but I am trying to watch it without touching it as much as possible.. But when I looked at the day-1 post-op photo, that eye had actually been more swollen lol. I only recently saw posts saying that some of the things I sometimes felt were complications. If I had not seen those complication posts, I probably would have just thought that is how it is and gone on without thinking about it. That is because I did not know this community back then lol. Even now I am not very uncomfortable, but sometimes my eyes feel heavy and it feels like something is pulling the eyeball from the lower back. When it gets bad, it is pretty bad and I get tired easily. How should I put it, it feels stiff and tugged when I move my eyes.. I have only had under-eye fat repositioning so far, so I do not know what exactly this is or whether it is because of the under-eye procedure, so I plan to check it when I have time if I need an examination. Since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I am definitely very satisfied with the clearly changed parts. The biggest stress on my face was the dark area under my eyes, and after the under-eye fat repositioning I started noticing other things, so I ended up learning about this community while looking into double eyelid and nose surgery lol. Anyway, my overall opinion is that it is better to do it than not to do it!
