Reasons for excluding from the list
1. The coordinator talks far too long about the nose and, despite not being a specialist, seems to take up an unnecessarily large share of the consultation. It does not seem helpful to get a long explanation about surgery from a non-specialist, and it is not very pleasant either. 2. They seem to use cartilage too aggressively. They said autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage if needed, and even though I said septal cartilage had already been harvested before, they said they could still take more septal cartilage if needed. Also, hearing the coordinator say they would cut the septal cartilage into pieces and place it wherever volume was needed made me wonder. 3. They do have a CT machine, but even though I kept mentioning before the consultation that I wanted analysis through imaging, they did not do the scan. 4. As you can see on the website, it seems like there is some scarring left at the columella. Since the doctor is an otolaryngology specialist, I do not have much trust in the suturing methods taught during the plastic surgery residency process, so my expectations for surgery dropped. 5. They seem to keep managing and deleting complication reviews. I found 3 recently deleted reviews on the community. Posts from before sometimes mentioned overuse of cartilage and posts about side effects, and I suspect those were related. They seem to focus on correcting things with cartilage, but the doctor does not explain side effects of that surgery or patient sensations and discomfort well, or maybe does not know much about them.
Conclusion: At first I was intrigued after reading blogs, but I excluded it from the list because of overuse of cartilage, septal extension, complication reviews, and a large number of deleted reviews. Since the doctor is an otolaryngology specialist, I do not trust the scar suturing much, and I am also worried that the lack of advance explanation about the side effects of overusing cartilage will lead to poor aftercare. The fact that they used to work at the blacklist place famous for ghost surgery near Gangnam Station is also a concern.
