7-Year Review of LASIK Surgery When My Vision Was 0.1 in Both Eyes

My vision was about 0.1. It wasn’t negative vision, and I didn’t have astigmatism either, but wearing glasses in my teens was so~~~ stressful. I didn’t wear contact lenses much either, so my corneal condition itself was good. They said I was even eligible for reoperation. Because my eyesight was bad, I walked around frowning, and I’d pass by friends without recognizing them, so misunderstandings piled up too On days when I left my glasses behind, I couldn’t see the bus numbers, so even taking the bus was hard. So as soon as I reached the age when surgery was possible, I got it done. There were so many people getting surgery that it did feel a bit like a factory-style place. But I think that was because they had that many surgical cases and the procedure ended quickly. Right after surgery, my eyes stung, tears kept flowing, and it was difficult, but after a few days, I could clearly see the numbers on passing buses, which made me so happy. And a few years ago, there was a period when my eyes were extremely dry, like dry eye syndrome? But during that period, the only thing I could do was get a checkup and use artificial tears frequently And I do have halos/glare at night. But it’s not to the point where driving around is uncomfortable. Instead, if it’s nighttime and raining? On those days, I drive very carefully. Now that it’s been 7-8 years, I’ve never once regretted the surgery. Also, even after LASIK, if you look at your phone in the dark with the lights off and don’t take care of your eyes, your vision drops. When it was at its best after surgery, both eyes reached 1.5, but now it’s about 1.0? I think. I think the sooner you do it, the better!
