It's been about 9 years since the surgery. The doctor was kind, but on one side of my cheekbone, the 45-degree line beside the cheekbone is still there, so the right and left sides were shaved unevenly The union also ended up kind of ambiguous.. It wasn't a complete failed surgery with nonunion and bone loss, but it still wasn't a good surgery, and yet when I actually take a CT scan, you can tell the bone was reduced.. But even on the current CT, the left and right cheekbone sizes still look pretty different. That was the result The doctor did his best and responded well to feedback, but my heart hurt……
